For those who do not know the sport of Boxing watching a boxing match to them seems incomprehensible. Others again especially from their area martial arts systems (theoretically basically) think that Boxing is a sport limited to six basic hits, so probably the wildest, strongest or even luckiest usually wins. Martial arts legend Bruce Lee had a very different view and appreciated this misunderstood sport, to such an extent that he himself had participated in school boxing matches. Later he even studied boxing more and lent many tactics and techniques to create his own system Jeet Kune Do.
Five of them are:
1.Single Strike (SDA) Attack: The aim of this attack is to hit the target through the shortest path. It requires the boxer to bridge the distance with a single move and without any pretense. This kind of attack presupposes a good sense of distance and very good timing. It is done mainly with the front hand that is closer to the opponent.
2.Combination Attack (ABC): The combination is a series of punches on multiple targets (head, liver, stomach, etc.). They usually follow a natural rhythm and are performed in such a way that they are promoted by the body's mechanics, maximizing the correct position and minimizing the exposure to danger. No good boxer throws punches for no reason. So each hit aims either to hit the opponent or to create the conditions for the next hit to be successful.
3. Manual control of opponent (HIA): It is done by controlling the opponent, or the opponent's head, making him unable to avoid, block or hit.
Against opponents with tight defenses it may be necessary to create the opening dynamically. One such method is to lower the glove with one hand creating space to strike with the other.
4. Progressive Indirect Attack (PIA): This is an attack that has been preceded by a pretense or a false move with the intention of deceiving the opponent. The goal is to react to the false movement or false opening by giving us the time and distance to take advantage of it.
5. Planned attack (A.B.D.): A very important tactic in boxing is to challenge the opponent on our own terms. With this tactic we create an opening that causes the opponent to attack and we just wait for the opponent to go for the opening that was created. Our goal is the counterattack, taking advantage of the opening created by his attack.
