All About Boxing

Ownership is the sense of self. Your body has receptive receptors, which are sensors that provide information about the angle of the joints, the length and the tension in the muscles. This gives the brain subconsciously awareness of every part of the body.

Here are three ways to increase your susceptibility.

  1. Jumping rope

The brain uses information from the senses to accurately produce motor commands. Any exercise involving repetitive patterns of coordination and movement can greatly enhance kinesthetics and spatial awareness. Jumping rope is a great way to practice space awareness. Similar exercises, such as pleiometric and agility exercises help to create connections between muscles and nerves. We impose on the body to perform and memorize certain movements. Over time, it becomes easier to perform these exercises without much thought, that is, it becomes a subconscious routine. We rotate the rope in front while we are in a boxing position, performing any punch towards it, without losing the rotational movement or the rope hitting us. Watch the video to get an idea!

  1. Boxing with pads

Individuality allows us to know where every part of our body is in space, without having to look at it. A simple example is the ability to walk.

This video shows a person's susceptibility ability. Notice that her body movements are all from the memory of the muscles. Her posture, gait, strokes, balance, head movements, and overall body position on targets require susceptibility.

Goal training increases the receptive requirements, helping to achieve a better understanding of body movements.

  1. Shadowboxing with closed eyes

The last example is performing an exercise with the eyes closed. This allows the other senses to be more sharp.
