Vassilis Oikonomou Born on 2/2/1978 in Athens and is one of the most genuine and capable exponents of Fighting Sports / Martial Arts in Greece.

His germ was transmitted to him by an uncle, an old boxer at the age of 7, who taught him a few lessons. When he passed away after a few years, he was left with his everlast boxing gloves that he always imagined he would wear in competitions so it was just a matter of time before he started the sport professionally.

He took his first boxing steps at the beginning of 1991 at the Polydefkis boxing club of Peristeri with teacher Elias Papagiannis. The first distinction came very early at the age of just 14 years old and since then one distinction followed the other and always staffed the national teams of children, teenagers and men of our country. At the beginning of 2003 he was included in the pre-Olympic team for the 2004 Olympic Games. After his exclusion he decided to hang up his gloves but not for long. At the end of 2004 he decides to try himself in the sport of kick-boxing in which he wins the national championship the same year and a little later he wins in a professional match where it was his last.

Personal ambitions were set aside and the love for the sport made him want to pass on his knowledge to young children. At the beginning of 2005 he founded the Fight Academy, a school aimed at those who simply love martial arts, where he still teaches.

He is training graduate, Holder of the first star of the world federation ΑΙΒΑ and since 2014 he also coaches the boxing team of the Hellenic Navy.
